PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated partnerships professional to own Reed & Mackay’s airline supplier relationships in North America. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for all commercial discussions and activity with both existing and new airline suppliers, focused on maximizing customer value, while optimizing for Reed & Mackay revenue and commercial goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the go-to-person for Reed & Mackay airline partnerships and commercial agreements in North America, working cross functionally to deliver competitive content for clients, while maximizing revenue opportunities for the R&M business
- Develop and maintain deep and strategic relationships across key suppliers and clients, participating in business development, client meetings, and supplier business reviews
- Ownership of airline supplier commercials through the full contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, and optimization
- Collaborate internally across various organizations, including but not limited to, Product, Customer Success, Ops, and Finance to represent the Airline Partnerships team, and drive initiatives to increase supplier revenues and operational success
- Play a proactive role in driving innovative initiatives ranging from supplier distribution to operational process improvement through to technological development
- Leverage internal dashboards and reporting to monitor business performance & make data-driven decisions and recommendations
- Work closely with Finance on financial planning and performance reporting requirements
- Support an effective communication strategy companywide to improve knowledge, service delivery and performance through consolidation and optimization
- Continually develop your wider understanding of external market factors, industry trends and the wider travel landscape
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel Management experience with a deep understanding of the travel industry
- Ability to develop strong and strategic relationships across every level of an organization and act as a trusted advisor
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to clearly communicate the R&M value proposition and key differentiators
- 6+ years of experience in Corporate Travel, gained either TMC, Airline or Hotel side
- Commercial acumen with the ability to identify, evaluate and optimize both the short and long term opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly form and maintain strong relationships
- A self-starter with a natural drive to progress and see things through to fruition, either independently or as part of a wider team
- An effective communicator with the confidence and presence to influence both internally and externally across international markets
- Results driven with a proven track record in delivering on strategic objects and exceeding financial targets
- The individual will need to be available and willing to travel both domestically and international
